The Swanage Museum &
Heritage Centre (in Swanage, Dorset, UK)
hosts a small exhibition about early radar
in the UK. This is just a few
miles from the sites at Worth
Matravers where significant radar development
took place from 1940 - 1942. |
|
The theme of
the exhibition changes each year - have a look at
the programme.
The original exhibition was opened by
Sir Bernard Lovell in July 2006 - see
the opening
ceremony. |
|
The exhibition
includes: |
- |
wall panel with photographs, |
- |
portfolio folder of display panels, |
- |
an interactive computer display, |
- |
booklets published by the Purbeck
Radar Museum Trust available for purchase (see publications). |
|
|
The exhibition was created by Sq Ldr Mike Dean MBE from his
extensive collection of photographs and
other material. It is based on the
previous larger exhibition he installed at the
Worth Café & Craft Centre in June
2006. |
